Epic Eagles, a tribute band to the 70’s and 80’s rock band, The Eagles, will headline the Saturday night concert at the 100th annual Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival this Saturday in downtown Canal Winchester. Uncle Kracker, a pop artist from the 90's will be the headline entertainment on Sunday downtown.

New to the 2022 festival will be a mechanical bull ride.  Festival visitors can test their skills and see how long they can remain on the bull.  Compete with friends for ultimate bragging rights. The cost is $5 per ride. Purchase tickets at the Information Booth.  The information booth will close at 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Eyes of Freedom Memorial will be on display at city hall. The display honors twenty-two Marines and one Navy Corpsman of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Regiment, who died in service to their country while deployed in Iraq in 2005..  Though the Marine Reserve Unit was mostly from Ohio, these fallen heroes represent seven states, from Alaska to the East Coast. The panels in this Memorial specifically depict the fallen twenty-two Marines and one Navy Corpsman from L3/25.

There will be dining tents, concessions, and amusement rides at this year’s festival. The Labor Day parade will step off at Canal Winchester High School on Monday at 2pm. The parade will begin on Washington Street, turn right onto Columbus Street, left onto Trine Street, and then turn left onto Waterloo Street where it will conclude at the municipal swimming pool.
