Florida nonprofit helps families prepare for hurricane season

A nonprofit organization in West Palm Beach is helping families to stock up on items your baby needs for free.

Cotton Bottom Diaper Bank works with the community to distribute diapers to any local facilities that can help families in need.

They partnered with Safebound to help deliver diapers.

"There are over one in three families that need diapers" Lauren Thomas, Board member of Cotton Bottom Diaper Bank, said.

When it comes to preparing for hurricanes, it's important to have at least 50 to 100 diapers and eight extra packs of wipes. Lauren says "in the case of emergency, you are prepared and the babies can have clean healthy diapers for their use."

Besides stocking up on diapers for babies, families are struggling to find baby formula due to supply shortages and recalls. Prices are even going up for all baby supplies.

A young family in West Palm Beach is grateful to receive diapers during these tough times that the nation is facing.
