A mother of three has been backed online for telling her sister she hopes she never has kids after the latter destroyed all her baby items, apparently out of jealousy.

In a Reddit post shared on Monday, titled "AITA [Am I the A**hole] for telling my sister I hope she never has kids?" the 22-year-old woman, under the username u/SisterFued1927, explained that while she was in labor with her third child her older sister offered to babysit her 3-year-old twin boys. When she returned home a few days later she found all her baby items destroyed.

According to the post, her sister has wanted to be a mother for a long time but hasn't been able to have children because of infertility issues, and she's always been jealous of her for getting pregnant while on contraception.

Infertility is a common problem in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The data shows that among heterosexual women aged 15 to 49 years with no prior births in the U.S., 19 percent were not able to conceive after one year of trying, which is known as infertility. In addition, 26 percent of women in this age group have difficulty getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term, which is known as impaired fecundity.

Infertility and impaired fecundity are less common among women with one or more prior births. About 6 percent of these women aged 15 to 49 years are unable to get pregnant after one year of trying and 14 percent have difficulty getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term, according to the CDC.

After coming home to all the destruction her sister caused, the mother of three told her sister to "f*** out of [her] home and stay away from [her] family" adding: "I hope you never have a child, and if you do then I'll tell it exactly what you've done to mine."

The sister had "tried to pin it on the twins but they're 3, and this level of destruction had to have been done by an adult. My twins can't even reach some of the stuff that was destroyed, and they certainly do not know how to open diaper packages and tear them apart," she wrote.

Her family now thinks she is "an a**hole" for saying something "so vile" to her sister after "all she's done for them," even though the original poster said she had offered to be her sister's surrogate "as soon as [she was] cleared after this baby."

The post, which was first shared on the r/AmItheA**hole subreddit, has gone viral receiving over 11,900 upvotes and 1,500 comments in less than a day.

One user, CrystalQueen3000, commented: "Your sister flew into a jealous rage when faced with all the things she wants and doesn't have. Can you imagine how terrifying that was for your twins? Those poor babies."

And kats1945 wrote: "[NotTheA**hole]. Let's say the boys did do all that damage, why wasn't she watching them? Naw, your sister did it in a fit of jealous rage. Thank f*** she doesn't have any kids."

Another user, Dcruzen said: "[NotTheA**hole]. My friend's ex punched their TV and destroyed it, then tried to blame it on her 8-year-old throwing a gaming controller at the screen. Thing was, it was obvious to all of us that there was a big adult fist-sized crater smack in the center of the TV. He had a history of punching the walls, so it was really obvious.

"Your comment about the destruction makes it very clear this was your sister's doing. If by some crazy event your little boys morphed into mini Hulks and went on a sugar-fueled rampage, she was the one tasked with watching them."
