The Toddler's Footrace introduces the youngest fairgoers to the fun at the Ashland County Fair.

ASHLAND -- There's something for everyone at the Ashland County Fair, regardless of age range.

That includes the very smallest of fairgoers. Two events, the Diaper Derby and Toddler's Footrace, are part of the fun that focuses on the community's youngest members.

The Ashland County Fair has offered racing contest for the younger fair attendees with three special contests, the Diaper Derby for those little ones that ate still crawling, the Toddler Foot care for those 1 to 4 years of age and a Little Car Race for those up to 5 years of age.

Conducted by the Fair Auxiliary and assisted by community members in the Speidel Pavilion a total of 28 kids participated in the Toddler Foot Race on Thursday of the fair. The fastest racers were awarded trophies and prizes. All participants received participation ribbons and a gift.

These were the trophies presented to the winners of the Ashland County Fair Diaper Derby.

Ashland County Fair Auxiliary again offered a contest for the youngest of Ashland County Fair attenders with the Diaper Derby, a racing contest for little ones that are crawlers near the age of 1-year-old.

Prizes and trophies were presented to the top three contestants and participation gift and ribbons to all in the race held in the Speidel Pavilion on Thursday morning on the fair. After three heats, the crawling racers returned to the carpet rug to determine the champions.

Winning the race was Jewel Harris. Evelyn Wasson placed second and Legend Lariscy placed third.
